Sambal Lezat Pelengkap Hidangan

Saat makan sepertinya tidak lengkap jika tanpa sambal sebagai hidangan pelengkap. Cita rasa pedas sambal membuat makanan lebih menggugah selera. Jika Anda pecinta sambal, berikut resep sambal teri medan yang bisa Anda coba di rumah. Aroma wangi tumisan teri medan terasa pas dengan pedasnya cabe rawit merah. Selamat Mencoba. Sambal Teri Medan

Bahan:

100 g teri teri medan (teri nasi)

2 buah tomat, buang bijinya, potong dadu kecil

15 buah cabe merah keriting

12 buah cabe rawit merah

6 butir bawang merah

2 buah serai, ambil bagian putihnya, iris halus

2 sdm air jeruk nipis

3 lembar daun jeruk

1 sdt gula pasir

2 sdt garam halus

4 sdm minyak goreng

Cara Membuat:

    

1. Tumbuk atau ulek semua bahan sambal kecuali minyak dan teri medan hingga halus. Sisihkan.

2. Panaskan minyak, tumis teri medan hingga harum, masukkan bahan sambal yang telah dihaluskan, aduk rata.Masak sambal hingga matang. 

3. Sesaat sebelum diangkat, masukkan air jeruk nipis dan daun jeruk, aduk rata. Angkat. Tuang ke dalam mangkuk sambal, hidangkan sebagai penyerta makan.

Tip: Tambahkan 1 sendok teh terasi jika Anda menyukai sambal dengan aroma yang lebih harum.

Jend. Gatot Subroto, Senayan Jakarta Pusat. Dalam unjuk rasa itu, mereka juga menuntut kesejahteraan untuk para perawat.

They Call Him Mr. Spades

I met Matt in Penn Station last month and he was happy to share a couple of his eight tattoos. The coolest one was this heart on his left arm:

A closer look shows just how intricate this design is:

Matt explained that the idea behind this tattoo is simply that there are two sides to everything. He collaborated on the design with the tattoo artist Sean Malone, who works out of Rose City Tattoos in Rahway, New Jersey.

Readers may notice that, in the top photo, there is a distinct outline of another tattoo on Matt's arm in the shape of a playing card spade. What started out as a random tattoo of another spade ended up giving Matt the nickname "Mr. Spades" and it stuck. Here's a shot of the coolest Spades tattoo, straddling both of Matt's inner forearms:

The Tattoosday Book Review: The Word Made Flesh

If you're looking for an awesome gift for an ink-loving special someone this holiday season, and you can't afford a budget-buster like Marisa Kakoulas' Black & Grey Tattoo, I'd strongly recommend The Word Made Flesh: Literary Tattoos from Bookworms Worldwide.

As a lover of both literature and tattoos, The Word Made Flesh is right up my alley and, judging by the long-standing interest in sites like Contrariwise, should be an enjoyable read for many.

Last year, it seems, when I first posted (here) about Eve Talmadge's call for submissions, I was a bit jealous in a why-didn't-I-think-of-doing-that sort of way. But I quickly got over the inkblogger envy and waited with anticipation to see how this would turn out.

The answer: pretty darn good.

The Word Made Flesh, as the subtitle describes, juxtaposes photos of tattoos of a literary flavor, with blurbs from the contributors. There is poetry and prose, as well as more symbolic imagery to represent specific themes.

Compiled by editors Eve Talmadge and Justin Taylor, the reader is treated to a nice range of work, with a handy appendix which gives, when possible, credit to the artists and/or shops where the tattoos were inked.

I wondered, when starting the book, if I would see any tattoos that had appeared on Tattoosday. Sure enough, page 117 features a pair of alphabetic ankle tattoos, one of which appeared in this past year's Tattooed Poet's Project, here. To counteract that, there are two subjects who declined to participate in the same project.

The range of photos and stories is done quite well. We also get a snapshot of Shelley Jackson's Skin Project, and a lovely piece belonging to Katherine Barthelme, accompanied by an apropos story by her father, the late Donald Barthelme. Plus, amazing work like this:

There is something for everyone here, unless of course, you're a barbarian and have never read a book in your life.

I heartily recommend this title and at a list price of  $14.99, it won't break the bank.

Cara Mengakali Agar Posting Andalan/Pilihan Selalu Berada Di Depan Banyak diantara blogger yang menginginkan sebuah artikel atau posting yang akan selalu berada di halaman utama blog,ini saya tahu dari banyaknya sobat PelajaranBlog ini yang menanyakan hal serupa. Melissa's Feather of Memory

Back in October, I reviewed Kat Von D's The Tattoo Chronicles (here).

I also went to a book-signing and met Ms. Von D.

As you would expect, there was a long line to see the author, who is indisputably the most famous tattoo artist in the world.

Despite the long line, I did have a chance to chat at length with several other people at the event. We talked tattoo as we queued along 46th Street, around the corner onto 5th Avenue, up an escalator, and through a maze of book stacks.

One such fan was Melissa, a student, who was accompanied by several friends. Talking with Melissa and her friends made the two-hour wait much more bearable, indeed.

Melissa offered to share this tattoo with us here on Tattoosday:

This white feather on the inside of her right wrist is tied to the memory of her mother who passed away a couple of years ago.

Melissa's aunt often said that a floating white feather represents the soul of someone who's died. That said, whenever Melissa sees one, she thinks of her mother. By tattooing it on her wrist, she is assured that the memory of her mom will always be close at hand.

The tattoo was inked by Kerry O'Neill at Shotsie's Tattoo in Wayne, New Jersey. Work from Shotsie's has appeared previously here on the site.

A Quartet of Art-Inspired Tattoos

When I asked Brian how many tattoos he had, back in October when I met him at Borders in Penn Plaza, he kind of shrugged and said "I don't even know". A great answer, in my opinion.

Brian is an interior designer and many of his tattoos are inspired by the art he admires.

Three of the tattoos I photographed are on his right arm. First is this red tattoo:

This, Brian explained, is a piece that pays homage to Dada, or Dadaism, a cultural movement from the early 20th Century that included one segment of the arts. Brian is inspired by this movement from an artistic perspective.

On his upper arm, Brian has this Buddha image, which he says has an Andy Warhol-inspired perspective:

That is on the outer part of the upper arm, on the inner side is this item:

This is a take on the "Egg Chair," a piece of furniture whose style became popular in the forward-looking 1960's. The form above is more like the Scandinavian Ovalia style of egg chair.

And finally, Brian showed me one of his favorite tattoos, just above his waistline:

As mentioned above, Brian is inspired by Dadaism, and one of the figures that became most associated with the movement was the artist Marcel Duchamp. This tattoo is based on his work Fountain, which caused quite a stir in 1917.

These tattoos were inked by Texxx at Flying Monkey Tattoo in Pittsburgh.

Sharon's Bird on a Saturday

At the end of September, I spotted this bird on the left side of Sharon's upper back:

 

Sharon drew this herself and had it tattooed at Fat Cat Tattoo in Sacramento, California.

I'd love to tell you more about this tattoo, but Sharon never e-mailed me to give me more details. Nonetheless, it's some nice work.

Mike's Flying Saucer and Pyramids Were Meant to Appear Here

There are often times that I see interesting tattoos but the opportunity to speak to their hosts is not ideal, so I make peace with the fact that featuring them here is not meant to be. If it's meant to be, I believe, we shall meet again, even in a city of seven million people.

This may seem silly to some, that tattoos are fated to appear on Tattoosday, but one example amazes me and makes me wonder.

On October 12, I planned to sell a couple bags of books at the Strand Bookstore. I left my office on 31st and 7th and headed east down 31st on the north side of the street.

Halfway down the block I noticed the guy walking in front of me had tattoos. It was when he took off his jacket or sweater that I realized he had several interesting ones.

I sighed. I was laden down with books and he was moving at a pretty brisk pace. At 6th Avenue, he turned right, downtown. I shrugged and thought "oh well," and turned left to the north.

I walked a block to 32nd Street and entered the Subway at Greeley Square. I caught the train to 14th Street/Union Square and came out on 14th and Broadway. I walked two blocks south to the Strand at the corner of Broadway and East 12th.

I stood in line for a bit, and then met with the bookbuyer who gave me a fair price. I left the store, heading north on Broadway, crossing the street and depositing the money I had just received for the books at a Chase ATM machine. I exited the vestibule and headed back to Union Square. I had just crossed East 13th when a familiar face passed me. Rather, familiar tattoos. I whirled and caught up to the guy I had seen 18 blocks and 2 avenues away, approximately 1.1 miles, according to Google Maps.

I thought the odds of seeing him again so soon were too great not to interpret it as a sign, I was meant to speak to this person.

He introduced himself as Mike, a director and he shared this tattoo:

This tattoo represents Aliens building the Pyramids. Mike is into conspiracy theories and the mystery surrounding the construction of these magnificent structures continues to stir the imaginations of humankind after thousands of years.

The tattoo itself was a two-part construction. The flying saucer was the first to be inked.

The artist was James Hamilton at Love Hate Tattoo Studio in Miami. Love Hate, for those who don't know, is the shop featured in the show Miami Ink.

The pyramids were later added by Jason Hoodrich at Code of Conduct in Chicago.

The Tattoosday Product Review: Troll Skin Aftercare

Two weeks ago, Americans celebrated Thanksgiving in a variety of ways. Most had large dinners with families, many went on a televised football binge, and others watched the Macy*s parade and/or the Philadelphia dog show on NBC. I, of course, nursed my new Thanksgiving tattoo.

For those of you just tuning in, late November found me being thankful for the good people at SkinActives, for sponsoring a little contest we had here to choose which of these tattoos that I should get inked to commemorate the holiday (and Hand of Glory’s cool Thanksgiving Special).

Why would a skin care company sponsor such an endeavor? Well, they wanted me to sample their Troll Skin Tattoo Aftercare product and I suggested that the best way to do so would be to have a fresh tattoo on which to use their product. The rest, they say is history.

Immediately after the agreement was reached, however, I had some concerns. What if Troll Skin was not something I could positively review? Into what kind of moral conundrum had I wandered? I assured myself that the Troll Skin Aftercare folks wouldn’t be sending out samples to an inkblogger if they weren’t 100% confident in their product.

Fortunately for me, no such moral dilemma surfaced, for I found the Troll Skin product to do remarkably well. In fact, I am so pleased with it, I intend to use it for all future tattoos.

My most recent tattoos were treated the same way. Aquaphor ointment for the first 72 hours, and then Lubriderm cream until the tattoo had fully healed. This regimen seemed to work for me, but it has its drawbacks. For example, whatever clothing you have that may cover the tattoo that has been treated with Auquaphor, bid it farewell. The spot of clothing near the tattoo absorbs the ointment and is discolored permanently. It is also a thicker, gooier substance.

The Troll Cream instructions indicated I could safely apply the product as part of the initial tattoo treatment. Not only did the recommendation of keeping it in the refrigerator help soothe the new tattoo upon application
of the cream, but it was 90% neater. No gooey mess to confront, and no clothing had to be sacrificed. This is because the product is water-based, so it absorbs better into the skin and less into the fabric around it.

More importantly, the healing process went faster than I remembered it had in the past. I was starting to see the peeling process as early as Saturday, only three days after getting the tattoo. This can be attributed to ingredients like natural oils from jojoba, sesame seed, almond, and avocado, as well as sea kelp extracts, Epidermal Growth Factor and Copper Peptides. This is what it looked like a week out:

I also like that the Troll Skin Aftercare cream comes in a little round tin, rather than a tube or cap-top bottle, which has the potential to open or break in transit.

The biggest drawback? Perhaps the price. Suggested retail is $27.50. However, considering this is a treatment for protecting a lifelong investment that can cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to obtain, it’s a veritable bargain. Consider also that my old treatment involved Aquaphor (approximately $8) and Lubriderm (also $8), you’re only paying  a little bit more, for what I deem to be a superior treatment.

Troll Skin also comes as a serum (MSRP $14) which is recommended for post-healing for “continued skin health and to maintain the vibrancy of the artwork”.

Readers of Tattoosday know that I don’t generally endorse products here, aside from an occasional book review. However, I would certainly recommend this product for tattoo healing. I know, I know, people are generally overprotective of their new tattoos and don’t like to change their healing regimens. Nonetheless, why not embrace a product if it’s an improvement to an old process, and why not spend a little more to protect something you will carry proudly for a lifetime?

Hong Kong Hong Kong adalah daerah administratif khusus dari bagian negara Republik Rakyat Cina. Sebagai salah satu negara maju di Asia, negara ini sangat menarik. Kultur Asia yang eksotik terasa sangat kental di tengah laju modernitas kota Hong Kong.

Suatu kehormatan bagi saya karena mendapatkan undangan istimewa dari Novotel Hotel Hongkong, Hong Kong Tourism Board dan PRDA Asia sebagai pengelola acara. Saya beserta delapan blogger Asia Pasific lainnya diajak untuk menyusuri tempat wisata dan kuliner di Hong Kong yang unik dalam rangkaian acara bertajuk Novotel Bloggers Gathering. Kunjungan saya selama lima hari diisi dengan mengenal lebih dekat kebudayaan Hong Kong, beragam tempat wisata dan mencicipi aneka hidangan istimewa.

The Peak

Kesan pertama menginjakan kota Hong Kong, terlihat sangat bersih, meskipun padat penduduk, namun tidak ada kemacetan. Mobil pun jarang berlalu-lalang di jalan. Ini karena transportasi masal di Hong Kong sangat baik. Setiap daerah dilalui MTR Tram (Mass Transit Railway), salah satu jenis transprtasi masal berupa kereta bawah tanah yang nyaman dan murah. Angkutan bus listrik juga tertib dengan rute yang pasti. Kondisi ini membuat kota Hong Kong terbebas dari kemacetan karena masyarakat  lebih memilih alat transportasi masal yang nyaman dan murah.

Pagi pertama di Kota Hong Kong, kami berjalan-jalan ke Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Lokasinya di Wan Chai Ferry Pier, sekitar 10 menit berjalan kaki dari Hotel Novotel Century Hong Kong tempat saya menginap. Di halaman gedung ini terdapat sebuah patung Bunga Bauhinia atau Golden Bauhinia yang konon dilapisi emas. Pemandangan di lokasi ini sangat indah karena letaknya di pesisir pantai Victoria Harbour. Dari tepi pantai yang bersih dan berair jernih, kita dapat melihat gedung-gedung pencakar langit di kejauhan.

Menjelang malam, Salah satu tempat yang wajib dikunjungi di Hong Kong adalah Victoria Peak atau The Peak. The Peak adalah tempat wisata di atas bukit dengan ketinggian 552 meter. Di The Peak pemandangan kota Hong Kong  yang penuh dengan gedung menjulang tinggi terlihat sangat megah. Untuk mencapai lokasi wisata ini, saya harus menaiki Peak Tram atau kereta tua dengan rute perjalanan yang menajak. Selain pemadangan kota sebagai daya tarik utama, The Peak juga dilengkapi musium patung lilin Madame Tussaud's, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, dan Hong Kong's Historical Adventure. The Peak dirancang oleh arsitek Terry Farrell.  Bangunan Menara The Peak memiliki 7 lantai dengan total luas 10,400 m². Tidak ada kegiatan lebih menyenangkan di The Peak selain duduk di cafe  menikmati secangkir kopi panas sambil melihat pemandangan kota Hong Kong  di waktu malam.

Ocean Park

Sepertinya belum ke Hong Kong kalau tidak menyempatkan diri mampir ke Ocean Park. Salah satu tujuan wisata utama kota ini. Ocean Park adalah tempat hiburan super luas, lokasinya terbagi menjadi dua bagian, yaitu The Summit (Headland) dan The Waterfront (Lowland). Waterfront sepertinya diperuntukan untuk anak-anak, wahana  Amazing Asia  Animals, Koleksi Ikan, Wiskers Theatre dan Whiskers Harbour,  sebuah taman bermain yang luas bagi anak-anak. Di sisi The Summit, wahana permainan kian beragam, Roller Coaster, The Abyss yang menyerupai wahan histeria di Dunia Fantasi Ancol, Raging River, akuarium raksasa Atoll Reef,  Ferris Whell dan puluhan wahana lain yang tidak akan selesai di coba dalam waktu satu hari. Untuk mempersingkat waktu, sayapun memilih melihat Ocean Park dari atas dengan menaiki Cable Car atau kereta gantung listrik.

Surga Belanja & Kuliner Unik

Kota Hong Kong juga terkenal dengan surga wisata belanja murah. Hasrat berbelanja dan mencoba makanan khas Hong Kong serasa tak terbendung ketika saya berjalan-jalan di kawasan Mong Kok-Ladies Market dan  Times Square di daerah Causeway Bay. Di daerah ini memang diperuntukan untuk wisata belanja. Semua oleh-oleh khas  Cina, mulai dari makanan, pakaian, alat elektronik hingga souvenir dijajakan dengan harga yang terjangkau.

Sepanjang daerah Causeway Bay juga banyak berjejer restoran dan toko yang menjual aneka jenis makanan. Sayuran seperti akar teratai segar terlihat banyak dijajakan. Akar teratai biasanya diolah menjadi campuran sup. Kue bulan atau moon cake menggoda saya untuk mencobanya. Kue manis berbahan tepung terigu dengan aneka isi cukup mengganjal perut di sore hari. Sederet kedai kaki lima yang menjajakan aneka makanan dim sum, mie dan bebek peking terasa sayang untuk dilewatkan. Meskipun banyak juga dijajakan di Indonesia, namun mencoba dim sum di negeri asalnya memberia kesan tersendiri. Yang tidak kalah nikmatnya adalah olahan cumi asap dan daging berkuah pedas, terasa sedap dengan aroma menggugah selera. Aneka olahan daging babi terlihat menggiurkan, namun yang satu ini saya tidak berani mencobanya. Cukup memandang dengan takjub saat didepan mata terlihat kepala babi yang di asap dengan bumbu kemerahan.

Waktu terasa begitu cepat, menjelang tengah malam, saya memutuskan kembali ke hotel untuk istirahat, mengingat paginya saya harus kembali ke Jakarta. Masih banyak sebenarnya lokasi wisata di Hong Kong yang belum sempat dikunjungi, namun keterbatasan waktu membuat saya tidak bisa mengunjungi semua lokasi wisata di Hong Kong. Sepertinya  liburan panjang tahun depan, saya memang harus kembali ke Hong Kong untuk menuntaskan wisata yang tertunda. Budi Sutomo.

On the night of September 23, I was returning from Manhattan to Brooklyn on the R train after a poetry reading, when Erin sat down next to me. She had this tattoo on her left forearm:

Even Erin would concede this isn't a high-grade, professional tattoo. It was inked by a friend's girlfriend and is an image of the Lone Ranger, based on a printmaking project she did in college in which she envisioned a series of "American Hero Snacks". This was her design for the Lone Ranger Candy Bar. It's an image that resonates with her.

Laura's Two Tattoos

I met Laura in October after I spotted this tattoo on her foot:

This is a leopard frog, which reminds her of growing up, when she spent time in Shawmere, near Lyndhurst, in Eastern Ontario, Canada. She nostalgically recollects her summers as a young girl,  fishing and catching frogs.

Laura has a second tattoo, just above her waistline, which she generously shared with us, as well:

This floral tattoo depicts a bouquet with geraniums and the white edelweiss flowers. The edelweiss is the unofficial national flower of Switzerland and this tattoo commemorates not only the month she spent there as a visitor, but because she loves the Swiss culture and it is her favorite country.

Anja's Tattoo - A Brother and Sister Find Common Ground

Anja was visiting New York City from Denmark earlier this fall, when she ran into me in Penn Station. Of course, I was thrilled when she agreed to share this tattoo with us here on Tattoosday:

This tattoo on Anja's calf is based on the cover art from Es ist soweit, a 1990 album from a German band called Böhse Onkelz.

This record has significant meaning for Anja because it helped bring her and her brother together. She explained that they lived apart and didn't talk much, growing up in separate households. She was living with her grandmother, and came to visit her father and she was walking past her brother's room and heard him listening to this record.

The music brought them together, as she stopped to talk to him about it, learned that he had been listening to Böhse Onkelz longer than her, and this common ground broke the ice. Whereas before they had very little to talk about, Anja credits the band and this album with helping establish ties with her brother.

The top of the tattoo starts a lyric

and ends with

The lyric in question, "Let's forever be that Rebel Monster" is actually from a song by Volbeat, a Danish rock band, on their first album The Strength/The Sound/The Songs. The date below, "29-07-19--" is her brother's birth date.

This cool, meaningful tattoo was inked in Denmark by an artist named Dennis Wehler. I love how the words seem to be carved in her flesh.

Orang Narsis Punya Bakat Curang

Kata narsis sering digunakan sebagai istilah untuk menyebut orang yang 'gila foto' dan membanggakan diri sendiri. Padahal, narsis merupakan penyakit mental yang si penderitanya lebih mungkin memiliki bakat untuk berbuat curang.

Narsis atau yang dalam istilah ilmiahnya Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) adalah penyakit mental ketika seseorang memiliki rasa percaya diri yang sangat tinggi untuk kepentingan pribadinya dan juga rasa ingin dikagumi.

Narsis termasuk salah satu dari tipe penyakit kepribadian. Seseorang yang terkena penyakit narsis biasanya diiringi juga dengan pribadi yang emosional, lebih banyak berpura-pura, antisosial dan terlalu mendramatisir sesuatu.

Dan sebuah studi baru juga menunjukkan bahwa orang dengan karakter narsis memiliki kecenderungan untuk berbuat curang, baik pada tugas dan nyontek ujian sekolah.

Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa orang narsis termotivasi untuk menipu dan berbuat curang karena sifatnya yang selalu ingin pamer kepada orang lain. Orang narsis juga tidak pernah merasa bersalah dengan tindakannya.

"Orang narsis benar-benar ingin dikagumi oleh orang lain. Saat menjadi pelajar, ia selalu ingin mendapat nilai bagus dengan cara apapun termasuk berbuat curang dengan menyontek," kata Amy Brunell, penulis studi dan asisten profesor psikologi di Ohio State University di Newark, dilansir Medindia, Senin (6/12/2010).

Menurut Brunell, orang narsis cenderung lebih egois, melebih-lebihkan bakat dan kemampuannya serta kurangnya rasa empati kepada orang lain.

"Narsisis (sebutan untuk orang narsis) merasa perlu untuk mempertahankan citra diri yang positif dan mereka kadang-kadang akan menyisihkan kekhawatiran etis untuk mendapatkan apa yang mereka inginkan," jelas Brunell lebih lanjut.

Studi yang dilakukan tim Brunell melibatkan 199 mahasiswa. Pada studi ini, peneliti mengukur tingkat narsisme dengan memilih pernyataan yang paling menggambarkan sifat partisipan.

Misalnya, partisipan dapat memilih antara 'saya tidak lebih baik atau tidak lebih buruk daripada kebanyakan orang' atau 'saya berpikir saya orang yang spesial'.

Peneliti juga mengukur tingkat 'harga diri' partisipan dan menanyakan seberapa sering partisipan berbuat curang dengan menyontek pada saat mengerjakan tugas atau ujian sekolah selama satu tahun terakhir.

"Kami menemukan bahwa salah satu bagian yang lebih berbahaya dari narsisisme-eksibisionisme (keinginan untuk pamer dan menjadi pusat perhatian) adalah terkait dengan kecurangan, dalam hal ini kecurangan akademik," jelas Brunell.

Brunell mengatakan, keinginan untuk memamerkan diri benar-benar membuat orang dengan karakter narsisme lebih mungkin untuk melakukan tindakan curang.

Hasil studi ini telah dipublikasikan secara online di jurnal Personality and Individual Differences.

Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders serta American Psychiatric Association pun menyebutkan beberapa gejala dan kriteria penyakit narsis, diantaranya :

1. Mementingkan diri sendiri, melebih-lebihkan prestasi dan bakat yang dimiliki, berharap dikenal sebagai orang unggul tanpa ada hasil atau pencapaian tertentu.
2. Terlalu bangga dengan fantasinya dan memiliki tujuan yang tidak realistik tentang keberhasilan yang tiada batas, kekuatan, kepintaran, kecantikan atau kisah cinta yang ideal.
3. Percaya bahwa dirinya sangat spesial dan hanya bisa bergabung atau bergaul dengan orang-orang yang juga memiliki status tinggi.
4. Memerlukan pujian yang berlebih ketika melakukan sesuatu
5. Memiliki keinginan untuk diberi julukan tertentu
6. Bersikap egois dan selalu mengambil keuntungan dari setiap kesempatan untuk mendapatkan apa yang diinginkannya
7. Tidak memiliki perasaan empati terhadap sesama
8. Selalu merasa iri hati dengan keberhasilan orang lain dan percaya bahwa orang lain juga iri padanya
9. Menunjukkan sifat arogan dan merendahkan orang lain
10. Mudah terluka, emosional dan memiliki pribadi yang lemah

Perokok Lebih Bahagia Setelah Berhenti Merokok

Kebanyakan orang merokok untuk mengurangi kecemasan saat mengalami stres. Namun para peneliti justru menemukan berhenti merokok bisa membuat seseorang lebih bahagia, dan efeknya akan terasa selama ia berhasil menghentikan kebiasaannya tersebut.

Hal ini disimpulkan berdasarkan hasil penelitian tim peneliti dari Brown University dan University of Southern California, Amerika. Kesimpulannya berhenti menggunakan tembakau kemungkinan memiliki efek mengurangi stres dan juga meningkatkan suasan hati.

"Jika seseorang berhenti merokok, maka gejala depresinya akan menurun. Jika kondisi ini datang lagi, maka suasana hatinya akan membuat ia merasa lebih baik. Hal ini sama seperti yang dilakukan oleh obat antidepresan," ujar Profesor Christopher Kahler dari Brown University, seperti dikutip dari Dailymail, Senin (6/12/2010).

Para peneliti melibatkan 236 laki-laki dan perempuan yang mencoba untuk berhenti merokok. Partisipan ini mendapatkan konseling dan menentukan tanggal kapan ia mulai berhenti. Selanjutnya gejala depresi dari partisipan ini diuji seminggu sebelum berhenti dan 2, 8, 16 dan 28 minggu setelah berhenti merokok.

Peneliti menemukan partisipan yang berhasil berhenti merokok adalah kelompok yang paling bahagia dan memiliki suasana hati ini tetap konstan. Sedangkan partisipan yang hanya berhenti sementara akan merasakan suasana hati yang bahagia hanya pada saat ia tidak merokok.

"Asumsi yang selama ini dipercaya oleh masyarakat adalah kemungkinan rokok memiliki sifat antidepresan, sehingga jika ia berhenti bisa memicunya menjadi depresi. Namun hasil yang ditemukan justru kebalikannya," ujar Profesor Kahler.

Menurut Prof Kohler hasil ini cukup mengejutkan, karena pada orang yang hanya berhenti sementara, tetap melaporkan pengurangan gejala depresi yang dirasakannya. Hasil ini berkorelasi baik dengan penelitian lain yang dilakukannya pada tahun 2002, yaitu seorang perokok bisa berakhir menjadi depresi.

Tidak mudah memang untuk membuat seorang perokok berhasil menghentikan kebiasaannya ini, terlebih jika ia termasuk kelompok perokok berat. Tapi ada berbagai cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk berhenti merokok, baik yang cara yang biasa ataupun cara yang tidak biasa.

Bobol, Foto dan Video Seks 50 Artis Top

Sepasang hacker atau peretas dari Jerman berhasil membobol komputer 50 artis top dunia melalui virus Trojan. Para hacker itu diduga telah mengambil musik terbaru yang belum dirilis, kartu kredit, e-mail, dan gambar telanjang para artis tersebut.

Polisi melacak keberadaan dua peretas berusia 17 dan 23 tahun itu, dan menangkapnya setelah para peretas membual di internet terkait dengan keberhasilannya. Diduga, para peretas itu telah mengambil lagu-lagu terbaru dan video seks bintang terkenal, seperti Lady Gaga, Rihanna, dan Justin Timberlake

Para peretas itu juga menghadapi tuduhan pemerasan setelah berhasil mengantongi berbagai koleksi foto dan video seks para bintang top dunia tersebut. Dua peretas asal Duisburg, Jerman, itu mengakui kesalahannya di depan polisi setempat.

Penyelidikan dan pengembangan kasus ini melibatkan FBI dan Federal Police Service Jerman.

Sven Kilthau dari Universal Music Jerman yang bertanggung jawab atas publisitas bintang Lady Gaga dan Rihanna, mengatakan, kekhawatirannya. "Ini benar-benar menakutkan, seseorang tidak bisa merasa aman di mana pun berada," katanya, seperti dikutip Telegraph, Kamis (2/12/2010)

Polisi mensinyalir, kedua peretas menerobos komputer para artis top dunia itu dengan memanfaatkan virus Trojan, kemudian menguasai dan mengacak-acak isi komputer.

Bahkan gambar telanjang penyanyi Amerika Serikat, Kesha, telah diambil dan kemudian dipakai untuk memeras. Beruntung, Kesha (24) batal mengirim uang tebusan.

Tuduhan yang lebih bahaya, pasangan peretas itu telah mengambil lagu-lagu terbaru yang belum dirilis untuk kemudian dijual secara ilegal kepada produser gelap, alias pembajakan yang mendahului launching. Bisa dibayangkan berapa besar kerugiannya.

Kejahatan dunia maya ini telah membuat takut para manajemen yang mengelola publikasi para artis top dunia karena khawatir hal-hal sangat pribadi bisa dipulikasikan tanpa sepengetahuan pemiliknya, selain hak cipta mereka dilanggar. (Widodo-kompas.com)
