Health researchers have done many studies on animals and have found that low levels of Zinc is linked to hair loss, while higher levels help promote hair growth. Zinc also helps reverse the scalp problems that can cause the hair to thin. Many women know that Calcium is a nutrient that is needed for strong bones, but it is also needed for strong hair. Calcium helps the body make a nutrient called Keratin, which is the protein that the hair is made up of.

Iron is another essential nutrient because it also promotes hair growth. Women always seek the help of health care professionals regarding their hair. These professionals found out that most women who suffer from hair loss have Iron deficiency. Thus, most of them recommend taking prenatal vitamins to ensure that women get the right amount of Iron for their body.

Almost 60 percent women globally experience hair loss, from thinning of hair to extreme hair fall. The use of prenatal vitamins can solve this type of problem. There may be no reported risk that is associated with taking prenatal vitamins, but women who are not pregnant should consult with their respective doctors for additional information and to avoid possible side effects.
