Genital Warts Symptoms In Women: What Are The Causes, Symptoms And Treatment Of Genital Warts (HPV) In Women?

By Arthur Laslow

There are several prominent Genital warts symptoms in the patients who are suffering from these irritating warts. Sexual contact with the infected partner may spread these warts and hence they're considered highly contagious. This sexually transmitted disease is known to infect two-third of the people (of course only due to sexual contact with their infected partners. But, it is not necessary that the genital warts' symptoms are noticeable all the time.

Potential Causes- There are over hundred subtypes of Human Papiloma Virus. Not each, but around 30 subtypes can affect genital area and cause prominent symptoms. However, other subtypes may cause warts in the other parts of the body like hands, so just don't assume that except these 30, the rests are quite innocent. Interestingly, not everyone infected from this virus develop apparent symptoms. In fact, for many this virus may remain as dormant and do not cause any overt symptoms. However, the virus can be spread to others' bodies from these individuals where they are inactive and can reveal prominent symptoms.

Unlike the other sexually transmitted diseases, the human papilloma virus infection does not exhibit the genital warts symptoms. According to the study reports by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, half of the HPV women had no possible visible genital warts symptoms. In several cases, tiny hard spots that are visible to eye can develop within a span of 3 weeks to 3 months after getting exposed to the virus.

The genital warts symptoms in women can occur inside the vagina, on the periphery of vagina or around the anus. Cervical warts also develop in women in flat scratches mostly invisible in the early stages. Analysis of genital warts symptoms is necessary for a person who has the warts and is better to consult a doctor so that the other types of similar infections can be ruled out (or treated otherwise).

Genital warts symptoms can vary in their existence and the severity. It is common to mistake these warts for a rash and if these warts are not treated in time they can even lead to cancer. These warts are also known to transmit HIV. If one feels they have these symptoms it is safest to consult a doctor who can prescribe medication and help to cure it in time.
